    One or both kidneys are small in size (length of kidney in relation to the lumbar vertebrae)

  • Common differential diagnoses:
    Chronic kidney disease

  • Helpful additional data:
    Has the patient been PU/PD? Is there any vomiting? 

  • Commonly associated diagnostics:
    Consider *SignalCare MDB, consider abdominal ultrasound if available, consider urine culture

  • Commonly associated treatments:
    Based on primary, discuss treatment such as IV/SQ fluid therapy

  • Commonly associated home care:
    Monitor for PU/PD, anuria, vomiting, inappetence
