Immediate Report Update - September 2020
As a result of our continuous technology development as well as our specialized Quality Control program, our standard Immediate Report test panel offerings have been updated.
The following changes are now in effect:
Thorax
We have simplified the thoracic panel to prioritize the major clinical findings:
-
The 'Patchy' and 'Miliary' tests are no longer visible.
- The 'Broncho-Interstitial' test is also no longer visible, as neither positive or negative results typically influence clinical decision making.
- NEW! The Thoracic Mass(es) test has been added, with a positive representing the presence of mass(es) present in the cranial lung lobes and/or cranial mediastinum.
Abdomen
- The 'Prostatomegaly' test has been replaced with the Prostate Visible test.
- NEW! The Uterine Distension test has been added. A positive test result would most commonly include pyometra or pregnancy.
- The 'Retroperitoneal Fluid' and 'Retroperitoneal Lymphadenopathy' tests have been removed as they are so rarely positive.
Other New Tests Added
In addition, the following tests have been added to the Immediate Report panels:
- Rib Fracture(s)
- Vertebral Anomaly
- Elbow Periarticular Osteophytosis
- Stifle Periarticular Osteophytosis
- Hip Luxation
